Ballymaloe House is a large Country Farm House, providing superb guest acommodation on a 400 acre farm, 20 miles east of Cork city. This family farmhouse is two miles from the coast, near the small fishing village of Ballycotton and many small sandy coves and beaches. The Knockmealdown and Comeragh Mountains are about one hour’s drive away. There are also several historic houses and gardens open to the public within a short distance.

The amenities at Ballymaloe House include a small golf course on the premises, large golf course (international standard) 12 miles away. Sea and river fishing can be arranged 5-20 miles. Riding arranged 10 miles. Outdoor heated pool (summer use). Direct dialling from bedrooms. Babysitting available. Outdoor children’s play area. Tennis court. Ground floor rooms in courtyard.

Members of the family also run an excellent craft and specialist kitchenware shop on the premises, the Ballymaloe Cookery School in Shanagarry and the restaurant in the Crawford Art Gallery in Cork City.

The food is largely produced on the home farm and has won high recommendation in various guides.
