Glendalough House

Glendalough House, on several hundred acres of woodlands and pastures in Annamoe, Co. Wicklow, has a cherished and memorable history. It was the former home of Robert Barton who was the last signatory to the 1921 Treaty and Erskine R. Childers, who was arrested at this house and executed in November 1922 for possession of a revolver given to him by that great Irishman Michael Collins as a keepsake. In recent years, Glendalough House has been tastefully restored to its former glory and has played host to many Hollywood celebrities who enjoy the privacy and tranquility of this historic Georgian house. The Estate is regularly used as a film location.
Glendalough House offers its guests a wonderful stay. The house can be rented weekly or weekends for private parties, weddings etc. on a fully-staffed or self-catering basis. Guests are invited to stroll and enjoy the serenity of Glendalough's five acre water garden designed with ponds and waterfalls and planted with rare shrubs and water lilies. Antique furniture and brass trimmings adorn the grandeur of this historically rich architectural period with a blend of old world elegance and modern comforts.
