St Cleran's Manor House
From the time you walk into St. Clerans Manor House, you fall under the spell of the house and feel the history of bygone years. The stately entrance hall leads you into the magnificent drawing room, furnished with John Huston’s sundial on the ceiling, crystal chandeliers and a grand piano. Open fires are a feature throughout the house and contribute to the cosy atmosphere the Manor beholds. Over a glass of wine, you may choose from the inspiring French –Japanese influenced menu of the evening. Well known Japanese chef, Hisashi Kumagai, who is an institution in himself, has been with the House since 1998 and produces some of the most creative dishes in Western Europe. Moving onto the Dining Room, which is open to the public throughout the year, you will be seated at your table adorned with fine china, silver candlesticks, and surrounded by beautiful views. Throughout the evening, you will enjoy the finest of European and Oriental cuisine accompanied by friendly and professional service. After dinner, you may wish to relax in the cosy and informal Library and remember a time when men retired to these quarters to enjoy some brandy and chess after dinner. When night falls, St. Clerans offers a grandeur and timelessness that seems to have been lost in modern society. Visiting the Manor will remind you of a time when life was lived at a different pace and you can’t help but relax and return to this era of luxury and sophistication.
All twelve deluxe guest rooms have been individually decorated with a blend of luxury, tradition and imagination. Contemporary colours and facilities, with a classic effect.
